Student Council unifys school interests

Student Council president junior Raul Rico voices the school and listens to the students. The Student Council represents the school and change how things are at school.

One of Rico’s changes came up when a student asked for the school to have a fine arts-based pep rally. He and others wanted the whole school to not only focus on sports, but also focus on the fine arts and academic department.

“People should know what’s up and not be behind on what’s going on here at Glenn,” Rico said. “They should know how to look up to and who is here to help.”

One of Rico’s goals is the people at Glenn. He aids the Fine Arts department in having a place to be represented.

“This isn’t about me,” Rico said. “It’s about you guys.”

Student Council treasurer, junior Erika Sandoval, has an important job of keeping up with the student council’s money. Sandoval is a very positive person with an important duty. One of her big changes is to spread a message of positivity out to the school. The students should know that the Student council is a role model, and helps others when it is needed.

“I would like this school to be more united rather than dissociating from this school,” Sandoval said.
