Norah Barry

Thrifting is a past-time that many teenagers have gotten into over the years. Due to the diverse clothing located in thrift-stores, it opens up pathways for teenagers to find their own style. Junior Norah Barry is one of those teenagers with an avid interest in such past-times, as well as a few others.

“I have quite a few hobbies but my favorites are thrifting and acting.” I just recently started acting and I’ve fallen in love with it. It has allowed me to realize the behind the scenes isn’t as easy as it seems and has made me work harder everyday.I love acting because it allows me to tell a story and communicate a message to an audience.

I also love to thrift because it’s fun to find hidden gems every now and then. Although I’ve been thrifting since I was a kid, I’ve never really known the benefits to thrifting. I’ve come to learn how environmentally friendly it is and how much more ethical it is than buying fast fashion. Thrifting has made me more aware of the flaws in daily consumption today and has made me strive to make it more ethical for all.”
