People are unique in their own way, whether it’s through their appearance, ethnicity, or even hobbies. Culture defines humans and molds them to be their own person, just like our featured Grizzly. Athanasia Zotis is a junior at our school who comes from a Greek background. All her life, she’s traveled to Greece, learned the language and participated in many Greek celebrations.

“I identify as Greek because it’s important to me as a person,” Zotis said. “I grew up speaking Greek and I was constantly involved in the Greek community with my transfiguration Greek Orthodox church and their dance team. My group, Levendia, performs for festivals or parties as well.”
