“A Court of Thorns and Roses” is a book about 19-year-old Feyre Arecheron, a human huntress in they mystical world of Prythian. Being human, Feyre lives in the South part of the island, the North, a realm of faeries and other such magical creatures is separated by a wall.

One day when hunting for her family, Feyre strays a little too close to the wall. She comes upon a strange wolf, killing it and taking it back to her village. Later that evening, a beast of magical origin, a faery from North of the wall arrives to take Feyre as punishment for killing the wolf, which turns out to be a faery.

Feyre is taken to the Spring Court of Prythian, and her captor turns out to be not just any faery but one of the immortal High Lords of Prythian, Tamlin. As Feyre stays in the Tamlin’s estate her disdain for him turns into something unexpected: passion. But even as she is surrounded by beauty a blight is spreading across the land, a great evil threatening to destroy all of Prythian, and everyone Feyre holds dear.

This is by far one of the greatest books I have ever read. It is the first in a series of four. Once I started reading I couldn’t put the book down, and couldn’t help myself from blowing my money on the rest of the books. Sarah J. Maas truly created a masterpiece with this series. I have reread this book, and series, more than five times and I would give it a 9 out of 10, maybe even a 9.5 out of 10. It is one of the best book series I’ve read and if anyone loves fantasy, romance, adventure, and unexpected twists, I would definitely suggest this series.
