BROCKHAMPTON suprises America with talent
BROCKHAMPTON is a boy-band that originally formed in San Marcos, Texas in 2015. The group consists of 15 members, but here are the main vocalists: Matt Champion, Kevin Abstract, Merlyn Wood, Joba, Dom McLennon, Ameer Vann, and Bearface. Alongside the vocalists, BROCKHAMPTON’s members include their design artists, managers, photographers, and such.
I just started listening to BROCKHAMPTON this year and my life has been blessed. They put out albums in such a short amount of time, but you can hear their growth throughout each one. If you think you’re working hard, BROCKHAMPTON is probably working harder. Their work ethic is intense.
Rap is an art form, and this band molds it into their own sound so well that it’s beautiful to listen to. All of the vocalists have good verses in their songs, but Ameer and Dom definitely have amazing verses. BROCKHAMPTON has around four albums out to the public and my preferred album is SATURATION II. The lycrism on this album just really hit me because it talked a lot of the thoughts of the black members and what they dealt with and how they felt because of their race. Furthermore, they talked a lot about themselves and who they were.
If you want to start getting into BROCKHAMPTON, they have a diverse range of songs to choose from. My personal favorites are TEETH, FAKE, STUPID, INFATUATION, DIRT and GOLD. Right now, they’re about to come out with a supposed album named PUPPY. One of the members revealed a teaser of the album on an Instagram Live. Now that they’re coming out with new things, it’s a good time to start getting into them.
