Girl’s wrestling biggest in LISD
This school year, the girl’s wrestling team has gone far and hope to reach new goals in the future.
The wrestling team has started the season off with more wins than last year. Primarily, the girl’s team obtains six new pins this season, and they hope to gather more experience as the seasons continue.
“I think myself and everyone on the team did our best,” sophmore Emi Wilson said. “I feel like we all improved from last year as a team.”
The girls team feel confident in their overall ability to enhance their skills and potentially benefit the school.
“We represent our skill in ways of showing team effort,” sophomore Sarah Gilman said. “Just being a good team is a way we show off our talents.”
Not only do the girls want to better the team as a whole, they want to improve the bond between all of them.
“Before our meets we all either sing songs or take turns playing vines,” junior Morgan Bonvillian said. “After wins we’ll come home and we will start beatboxing and try to have a good group victory session.”
At the moment, the girls wrestling team is the biggest one in Leander ISD.
“I’m proud that we are the biggest team at the moment in LISD,” Bonvillian said. “I’m proud that we all take time and try to help each other out.”
