Neon out for football’s last game

With the help of the cheer team, on Nov. 8, the school will “Light it Up” with a neon-themed school day.

Spirit days are designed in order to help the students of the school support the football teams. It helps bring the student body together for the better of our school culture and student relationships.

“The purpose of Neon Day was to be one of our spirit days in order to help support the football team,” sophomore Madison Hill said. “It helps the school come together as one.”

School spirit is something truly valued throughout schools across the country. Neon Day served that same purpose to help bring our students closer.

“I feel like this is a good thing to help not only support the football team, but also bring the students together,” sophomore Kaiya Stokes. “It makes the school feel more like a home.”

The cheer team got together and set up the spirit days, mainly to promote them for the better of the students.

“I think they add benefit at Glenn,” Hill said. “It really shows our football team that we care and support them.”

As the season for football comes to a close, the cheerleading team really wanted to make a stamp for what school spirit means to them.

“I encourage students to participate in the future,” Stokes said. “I feel like most students don’t participate so I think it will really be nice for most if not all of the student body participates.”
